Martial arts legend Sho Kosugi is a one-man army out to crush anyone who crosses his path in this action-packed adventure. Summary: Don't Judge a DVD by Its Cover
Comment: The martial arts battles which are the only
reason that we watch movies like this are
mediocre at best. There is the use of some
unique and interesting weapons, but the
fights themselves are presented in a way
that most of the action is obscured by the
film editing and the full screen presentation,
which is awful, not just for the action scenes,
but for the dialog scenes as well.
There is a lot of machine gun use, which is not
a welcome intrusion for the martial arts film fan.
The acting is not good, the characters and dialog
are cliche, the music score is terrrible
and the plot is simple and meaningless,
all on the level of a children's television
adventure show. Film is supposed to be a
higher art form.
All the criticism in the previous sentence
would be moot if the fight scenes were great,
but alas they are not. Too bad because many
of the stunts were well done.
I liked some of the settings very much and
they were well photographed, particularly
the views of the wild parts of Argentina.
I want to go there and see that some day.
Breathtaking!
I can think of no reason to watch this film
when you can watch or re-watch any film
with Sonny Chiba, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, or,
a moment of silent reflection please,
Bruce Lee.
The insert cover art is very cool, but the hero
in the film never gets his Ninja on.
Very deceptive marketing.
This film will not satisfy the martial arts
fan.

Summary: Excellent Martial Art Action flick
Comment: Sho Kosugi again proves why he is one of the best martial artist that made excellent movies in the 80ies. Don't get mistaken by the movie front cover. This is not a ninja film. This movie is a part of the famous saga when Sho Kosugi was playing a ninja but in this film he doesn't. This movie has a great story and great action with a lot of fighting versus various kind of bad guys including ninjas. Sho Kosugi is a pleasure to watch. He is very fast and precisive. Kills instantly. This is perhaps the best Sho Kosugi movie I've ever seen along with Pray for Death.

Summary: Miami Vice Meets Martial Arts
Comment: I am a big fan of martial arts movies and have seen all of the ones starring Sho Kosugi. This is by far the worst one mainly because it is closer to a Miami Vice episode than it is a ninja movie. For any martial arts aficionado, stay away, the fighting scenes are few and far between, and very poorly choreographed and filmed.

Summary: Start the insanity
Comment: This movie is quite possibly the best movie ever made. Right from the start when he sticks his gun up that one guys butt to the end when he's jumping over cars, the action never stops. Sho Kosugi has one of the most expressive faces I've ever seen, from anger to fear to sadness he is able to portray any emotion. I'm deducting one star from this movie because of the scene when he throws the plastic toy wheel at the man in the truck like a throwing star it hit him slightly lower in the neck than I would have liked but overall this is an outstanding movie and I recomend it to anyone in the mood for action. ps Ray was on to something

Summary: Decent
Comment: Sho Kosugi tracks down an evil criminal who kills his friend/partner. The journey takes him to several places. The fight scenes are ok, standard stuff, nothing too special. Most of the weapon work is good, I hear he even designed and choreographed the fights himself. Sho rocks, I hope he's alive and well today! Revenge of the Ninja kicks!
