Customer Rating: Summary: Judy Lee and Don Wong Tao take on Wong Wing Sang Comment: Iron Swallow is a surprisingly "great" kung fu movie. The fights are good, and that's the main thing I look for, but get this, the story is good too! It happens, just not often enough. Judy Lee is after 10 old men who covered up a crime they committed 10 years ago. Wong Tao and Ting Wa-chung play best friends and are students of Yee Yuen (he plays one of the 10 men Judy Lee is after), and the 2 students have to try and figure out what's going on.
The final 10 minutes of this movie is pure awesomeness. Good fighting, yes, but a good story greatly enhances the viewing experience. Judy Lee and Wong Tao perform their fight scenes very well, but the real star is Wong Wing Sang. Most people will recognize him as the guy who uses a pole to fight Ghostfaced Killer, and he plays the Yoga master with extendable arms in Master of the Flying Guillotine. He has some awesome skills, and he gets plenty of chances to show them off in this kung fu classic. This is a dam good movie all the way through. Highly recommended for kung fu fans who don't like much comedy with their kung.
4.5/5
Picture is full screen and faded, but still more than watchable.
Customer Rating: Summary: revenge is a dish best served cold and bloody Comment: this film inspiried the classic "kill bill vol. 1 & 2" and it stars the legendary and beautiful taiwanese cutiepie judy lee aka chai ling. also starring the great wong tao anf the great wong wing san who also choreographed the action is a reknowned choreographer like the lau bros. this movie had a great story line, great action by the legends and great acrobatics by lee hai shing who was helping judy lee in her mission. bad picture quality and fullscreen is it keeps it from being a 5 but overall a very good film arguably lets say in your top 50.
Customer Rating: Summary: Old Skool Kiung Fu!! Comment: I though this flick was not bad. When I do a review, I base that review one 4 factors: The plot,(meaning the story) Choreography/cinematography, picture quality and the old school kung fu performance. I do belive this flick has all of that. I felt it was entertaining from start to finish!! Respectively,,,after watching a flick,,if it's really good,,I look forward to seeing it again,,and I felt that way with "Iron Swallow"
