Comment: Great item makes the PSP way more comfortable to handle. It even works well with the PSP-1000. The only gripe is that mine had a bit defective battery pack where I have push and shake the power adapter into the slot to make it charge.

Comment: When I bought my PSP several months ago, I was browsing the accessories and noticed this little gadget. Upon reading the back of the packaging, I noticed that it adds a few additional hours of gameplay before you have to recharge the battery. So I went ahead and bought it and I was a tad bit surprised it didn't work as well as I thought it would.
One of the reasons why I bought a PSP in the first place is because I travel quite a few times a year and I wanted something to get me through my 3 hour plane rides. With the ability to watch movies, I thought the PSP was perfect. But I knew that I would be playing games while waiting to board my plane or on the car ride to the airport and I didn't want the battery to die on me. So I thought, yes, the charger grip is exactly what I need. I tested it a few weeks before my next plane trip and although it did provide a couple more hours of gameplay (like 2 or 3 hours), it didn't provide the 7 hours that the Amazon description states. Not a huge deal since I don't need it to last 7 hours but it is necessary to point it out.
Second, it's quite easy to charge the grip. All you do is plug the adapter directly into the charger grip and then plug the charger grip into your PSP. Simple enough.
Third, although I like the grips for certain games, they get in the way for other games. And you have to remove the entire thing from your PSP in order to change games. Removing the charger grip is another issue.
I have scratched my PSP a couple of times in an attempt to remove the charger grips from it. There's a certain way to do it and that certain way is certainly not easy. So either I put a game in that I can play for hours on end, or I don't use the charger grip at all.
Although it may seem that there are more negatives than positives, I still recommend this product. Considering that I really only needed it to add a couple of additional hours of gameplay, it works for what I need it for. For that reason, I can put the negatives on a backburner.

Comment: I got a model that looks just like this but made by a different company I believe. It doesn't have the battery built into it. Although I really haven't had the chance to play with mine yet but it does feel comfortable in you hand. Mind you I am a 6'3" man. Mine also works with my Logitech Visor so that is a bonus. Overall I am satisfied so far with this product. I will write back if I change my mind on that.

Summary: Pretty cool product
Comment: I bought this because holding the PSP for hours caused some hand cramping. I really like this product and the extra battery life is a big plus. My only complaints are the face plates won't work with these unless you use a dremel to notch tabs in the removable faceplate (not the PSP). That complaint is for the faceplate though and not this product. My other complaint is that the tabs that hold the PSP to it are a bit bulky, obtrusive and easy to break. Also, it does not help in portability but it has a battery in it so what can you ask for? For what it is and what it costs, it's worth it. Adds to the comfortability factor and extra battery are the true shining points to this product. Buy it. But look around because it's cheaper elsewhere.
