Yang Yu Heng is asked by the government to escort a cargo of gold into a famine area. However, he must contend with the vicious Chi Sah gang who boast the individual talents of leader Golden Arm, plus Silver Spear, Iron Robe, and Brass Head. In order to protect the gold from their attentions, yang hires the services of swordsman Li Chin Ming and his girlfriend Miss Leng, the axe-wielding duo Yen and Feng, and drunk master Hai To. What follows is a battle of wits and strength between the protagonists, with the added dimension that the mysterious Iron Feet is also after the gold for his own purposes. But who is Iron Feet? The answer comes as something of a big surprise!

Summary: I love this film.
Comment: I love old school martial arts films. I love martial arts films period. The shaw brother films are some of my favorite. They always were more imaginative that other kung fu films of the day. Good film and I suggest that you buy it.

Summary: The movie itself - GREAT! This version on dvd - questionable!
Comment: Again we all know this movie is a classic, it's just the company who put this release out on dvd did a poor job with it. I'm giving this dvd a 2 star rating because of the following. I can't remember the original version, but it seems that two parts of the movie are out of sequence. When the gold falls through the floor into the tunnel everyone starts fighting. But during the fighting people keep talking about how Iron Robe has set a "signal". Minutes later after the fighting is done, the movie proceeds to show Iron Robe taking away the gold and Hai To sneaking onboard underneath the cart. The cart's wheels fall off and this is where we actually see Iron Robe setting off the "signal". This is the only thing that bothers me with this dvd. Other than that the movie itself deserves 5 stars!

Summary: Kung fu classic.
Comment: The kid with the Golden arm is a true classic old school kung fu, there are lots of great fighters,exciting battles great all round kung fu action.As i always say don't look for great acting or imaginative story lines most martial art movies lack in that department, but! if you love action pack kung fu ""you bastarts you killed my master"" then this definitely in the tridition. the end has a great plot to be revealed and i'm sure you will be pleased if you bought this dvd a must for your invincible collection later folks.

Summary: a lead script with golden results
Comment: This is one of my favorites. Tons of great fights, most with weapons. A lot of main characters killed off. This flick is fun, imaginative, and exciting...the way a good martial arts movie should be.
It starts with our heroes escorting a cargo of gold to a famine-stricken area, per government request. You can't just take a load of money through the countryside and not expect the Chi Sah gang to take a stab at swiping it. Led by Golden Arm (Lo Meng), the gang boasts a whole mess of tough guys with colorful names like Brass Head and Silver Spear. Luckily, drunken "agent"(?) Hai To (Philip Kwok) is keeping close tabs on the gang, their progress, his ever-growing liquor tab, and the amount of honey-teriyaki marinade that will be needed to properly barbecue Wei Pai.
I don't feel it's necessary to give out more information than that. All the Venoms are on hand for this one. In my opinion this is better than "5 Deadly Venoms". I have seen about 5 of their movies and this is easily my favorite thus far.
My only complaint is that this is not remastered and Celestial has yet to do so. I will gladly purchase this again when that day comes. That being said, there is nothing wrong with the picture quality and fans of kung fu will enjoy this immensely, providing you're not looking for much of a story. Story? What kind of kung fu fan are you?

Summary: old "skool' kung fu!!
Comment: As a Lo Meng fan,,this particular flick was profoundly entertaining for me! Anyone out there who really enjoys this venom character, will truly like this flick. I would have given this 5 stars, but I though even-though the story was great,,it lacked body,,,there were no thinking on the part of the audience/ viewers. It was all about escorting some gold,intransit to famine victims,and to vigorously protect it from my main man the "kid with the golden arm",,,LO MENG and his crew,,cocky as usually,,kinda like the A B C's,,,very mundane!!
