Based on the journals of serial killer William Allen Grone, The Great American Snuff Film depicts a series of events involving the kidnapping, torture, and eventual snuff film murders of two young women in 1995. While the film is a dramatization of the events, it is told through Grones personal journal entries. The viewer experiences the brutal nature of this mad man; first hand. This disturbing journey concludes with actual footage from his film. Viewer discretion is advised.

Customer Rating: Summary: Snuff? Comment: This independent film did hold my attention from beginning to end, although I was somewhat disappointed. I expected more torture, gore and horror. The abducted girls were kept too distant as people to relate to. They are never really defined and never say much, so I never really felt connected to them or their plight. It's a horrible story, of course, and the roles are well played, but it just misses the mark for this genre. Also, I do not believe the "actual" snuff footage was real, although well simulated.
Customer Rating: Summary: BASICALLY A BONDAGE MOVIE Comment: This is basically a bondage movie more than a horror movie. It has very few kills and they are pretty cheaply done but the majority of the movie has 2 girls bound and gagged in the back of a van and it's all about them trying to escape. The narration is very monotone but begins to get creepy because of it after the first 20 minutes or so. It was slightly suspenseful in some parts and it is what it says it is, but it's nothing great.
Customer Rating: Summary: It was ok Comment: All I can about this movie is that it's different. It's not the best movie ever made, but not the worst either. I give it 3 stars.
Customer Rating: Summary: "The Van Has Proven Useful For Carrying Things" Comment: Real "serial killers" are not high-IQ Hannibal Lecter types. They are idiots with empty useless lives. This film is a good portrayal of a self-centered dumbass convincing himself he's doing something significant. The subject line is one of the villain Grone's "deep" utterances.
Customer Rating: Summary: Are you kidding me??? Comment: This is probably the worst film I have ever had the displeasure of laying eyes on. Did I miss something? I feel bad for anyone who shelled out hard earned cash for this. This movie, didnt scare me, make me feel for anyone in the movie. I kept waiting to see the torture, that really never comes. Cigarette burns? Thats all they could write up? I came out feeling I just wasted an hour and a half of my life.
